tV/film TRAINING

Do you know what is expected of entry level hair & make-up artists, and how to get into the screen industries?
All our 2022/23 trainees previously worked in hair salons, on beauty counters or as mobile hair / beauty specialists. Now they have successfully transferred their skills and have worked on great productions such as;
Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, The Witcher, Top Boy, Funny Woman and more Series!
Our training will give you the knowledge and ability to successfully transfer your skills into a thriving and exciting career in Film & TV. This programme is delivered in live online sessions, practical workshops and masterclasses at our MediaCityUK Studio.

Hair & make-up ARTIST transfer program
From 2022 - 2023, the MU-Academy was commissioned by ScreenSkills to deliver two training programmes. This enabled 32 highly skilled hairdressers, barbers and make-up artists (throughout the UK) to successfully transfer from salons and stores into the HETV industry as HMUA trainees.
Our trainees have worked on productions, such as:
Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, The Witcher, Top Boy, Funny Woman, THE BEAKER GIRLS, THE LAZARUS PROJECT, CHAMPION.
