MUA is the ‘Data Controller’ of your personal information and is subject to the data protection legislation and to the UK General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR). In necessary situations we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligations, such as when you accept a place on our course/s we will need relevant data in order to provide you with a place and service.

We will only collect and process relevant personal data to ensure we perform our role as an educational institute and representative agency to provide you with the high level of service we pride ourselves on. 


Legal Obligation & Vital Interests:

If the law requires us to, we will need to collect and process your data to comply with law or statutory obligation.


Legitimate Interests:

We require your data to fulfil our role as an educational institute and representative agency, which will not impact your rights, freedom or interests. For example, if opting in for newsletter emails, we will update you on recent events at MU-A Ltd. 


Special Category Data:

When processing certain categories of personal data, such as health data or diversity data, we can assure you that our processing complies with Article 9 of the UK GDPR and, meets a condition in Section 10 and Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 2018. For example, our recording and processing of special category data is necessary to ensure meaningful equal opportunity monitoring.

  • When you engage with us on social media

  • If you join us as a learner, staff member or a represented artist

  • When a purchase is made online or at our studio


Personal data collected by MU-A  Ltd will be the minimum amount of information to carry out specific purposes, in accordance with the GDPR. This will be limited to contact information and basic information regarding your area of work. Depending on your relationship with us we collect different amounts of data, and if this changes we ensure to remove all unnecessary information we had collected.  

All information you provide is stored on secure servers hosted by us or third parties providing hosting services. Digital application details, including personal and sensitive data are filed on a secure network, and hard copies are stored in lockable filing cabinets in a secure office environment.
